A Conference Built by Women, Powered by Insight, and Filled With Impact

Last week, I had the privilege of speaking at the Ladies Who Tech: AI Era conference, a truly exceptional event created by women, for women, and led entirely by women. And you could feel the difference immediately: it was authentic, insightful, and genuinely inspiring (not in the cliché way, in the “this actually shifts something in you” way).

During my segment, I shared my experience around operational functionality and AI - specifically, what it truly takes for AI to become a tool that supports business growth rather than a disruptive force.

My core message was simple:

Before AI can help your organisation scale, operational hygiene has to come first. AI won’t fix misaligned teams, outdated processes, or systems built on “this is how we’ve always done it.” In fact, if the foundations aren’t right, AI will simply automate the dysfunction - faster and more visibly.

To use AI strategically, businesses need:

 • Systems operating at full capacity

 • Clear, aligned processes

 • Teams working in the same direction

 • And the humility to admit when legacy habits no longer serve the company

When that groundwork is done, AI becomes an accelerator, supporting both operational and financial scale.

And as much as I shared, I also learned.

The event was packed with expertise at the highest level across technology, operations, strategy, leadership, data, and beyond. I walked away with insights I fully intend to integrate into my own work moving forward.
